Jeff and his wife, Laura, come to North Carolina by way of Fort Bragg, North Carolina. After honorably completing his service in the United States Army, Jeff went on to graduate from The University of North Carolina at Pembroke and The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law. Together they have 3 children: Kendyl, Bryce, and Ryan.

The Moreland family recently arrived in Perquimans, North Carolina, after Laura became the Assistant Principal and Athletic Director at the local high school. Having been raised in the small, waterfront town of North Beach, Maryland, Jeff is quite familiar with living in a town like Hertford. You can usually spot the entire Moreland clan attending one of the local high school games.
